Three month visas seem to end too quickly! Our S. African visas ran out the 4th of August so this past weekend we had to leave the country! We decided to drive to Swaziland to visit the YWAM base and also renew our visas. What was supposed to be a 2-3 hour drive turned into a 6 hour drive. Between a bad map and unclear road signs we ended up on a red, dirt road through a mountain pass for 3 hours. Early on in our drive we asked a guy who was working on the road if we were on the right path and he assured us that we were on the road to Swaziland. Well, we were on the road to Swaziland but apparently no one in their right mind takes that road. I think in the 3 hour drive we passed maybe 2 cars. We saw a sign that said Wild Frontier and felt that about summed it up. It was definitely an African adventure that felt like it was straight out of a movie! All that effort and they only gave us 30 more days!
