As I was sitting at University Village the other day, I saw beautiful, pink flowers blooming! I see it everywhere – the signs of spring. Bright purple flowers blooming in our front yard and lavender sprouting up in our backyard. Signs that winter is ending. What struck me as I sat at University Village was the bright pink flowers next to what looked like dead, lifeless tree bark. I began to think of my own life and how God sees me. Some parts of my life are like the pink flowers, while others (especially the areas He’s working on in me) probably look more like that tree bark. But Christ in me is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)! Thank you, Jesus, for that hope! And thank you that you see me as bright, beautiful pink flowers and not dead, lifeless tree bark!
