The rainy season has arrived – not totally in full force but it’s definitely here. Hot, humid days and rainy nights. I actually really like it. The grass is a beautiful shade of green, the garden is growing, and the rain lulls us to sleep at night.
Our region will see about 4.5 inches over the month of November. It doesn’t sound like much for the start of a rainy season, but South Africa will only see an average of about 18 inches for the year compared to the world average of 33 inches.
So I’m going to enjoy my beautiful green lawn, look forward to my crop from my garden, and enjoy those special times when the rain calls for a perfect opportunity to curl up to a good book…
