Don’t those sound awesome? Well, they are! That is, if you like chocolate. I got my hands on some cookbooks and I now have internet so I’m back to the recipes! I also want to thank those of you who sent me some recipes in my plea a couple of weeks ago! So without further ado…Double Chocolate Chunk Almond Cookies!
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate chunks
1/2 cup coarsely chopped almonds
Beat butter in a large mixing bowl at medium speed until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating mixture well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla, beating well.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks and almonds.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookies sheets. Bake at 350F for 10 to 12 min.
