Jeremy’s Knucks

playing guitar

Last year I made Jeremy some fingerless gloves for Father’s Day.  He has worn them lots (much to my delight!) but they are actually a bit thick and quite warm.  I decided he needed a new pair of knucks that weren’t quite so thick and ones he could wear while he plays his guitar.

This was one benefit of him going away the week before his birthday.  I could work on them without him seeing!  I don’t know whether it was my fried brain from single parenting it or what, but I didn’t even notice that I read one part of the pattern wrong until I was in the middle of the second knuck.  This causes you to face a decision.  Knit it wrong again or start over on both of them.  I chose the first option seeing as how my time was running out and crossed my fingers that they would still fit.

They do fit, although I might fix them for him anyway because it just bugs me.  We’ll see.  I’m sure I used it last time, but I had to refresh my brain on the sewn bind off method.  I knit these up using Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK in gray.  Love that yarn!
