unstuff by michael and hayley dimarco

unstuff

Summary  ::
God . . . and stuff. Everything in the universe falls into one of these two categories. In Unstuff: Making Room in Your Life for What Really Matters, authors Hayley and Michael DiMarco talk about the “stuff” in our lives that distract us from what’s important.  After unstuffing their house by getting rid of what they didn’t really need, they took it a step further by loading up in a motor home with their daughter and traveling across the country.  Not only do they experience the freedom of living with less but they discover that they have all the important stuff right at their fingertips.

My Review ::
If you can’t go live in a non-western country for a period of time, then I would suggest going out and buying this book!  It will definitely challenge you to examine your life and weed out the areas that have become inundated with stuff.  The book is broken up into six “Stuff” sections: Wallet, Mind, Body, Love, Worship, and Future.  I love how the authors used lots of Scriptures and changed the text up to make it more interesting to the eye.  I would have liked to read more about their adventures in a motor home and how specific incidents impacted their lives.  The very short journal entries scattered throughout only gave a small picture.  I would definitely recommend this book.  I think everyone could benefit from a little unstuffing in our lives.
