my date with warby

Remember these photos that I posted nearly two months ago?  We had such a blast taking those with Warby Parker lenses.  I was totally blessed by the sweet comments and the fact that they ended up on the Warby Parker blog!  After several back and forth emails to my eye doctor in S. Africa (carefully making sure I had my prescription right), I was finally able to order my sweet Zagg’s.  Now before I talk about how these Zagg’s just gave me 10 more points on the coolness factor, let me tell you about Warby Parker.

Warby Parker was started by a few friends with a desire to create quality eyewear at an affordable price.  With 27 vintage inspired styles to choose from, at only $95 a pair, not only will you get cool eyewear but your purchase provides a pair of glasses to someone in need.  Warby Parker has partnered with VisionSpring to distribute over 85,000 pairs of glasses in India and El Salvador.

Nervous about ordering online?  Don’t be.  You can order up to 5 pairs of frames (for FREE) for a home try-on.  Keep it for 5 days and then send them back free of charge.  Read my full post on Today’s Mama for more details about the eyewear and about how much I love Warby Parker.

Last week I went to the local park to take some self-portraits with a coffee mug, a scarf, a hat, a chalkboard book, and most importantly my Zagg’s.  With my tripod and my shutter remote (which Emma Grace has lovingly named my little friend), I had so much fun, even when passersby looked at me strangely.  I mean, it is a little strange to try to capture myself laughing when no one is around. 🙂

I’m seriously thinking the Griffin sunglasses, benefiting Invisible Children, will have to go on my Christmas wish list this year.
