Can you imagine, in the midst of all that, being in a tragic accident that left you fighting for your life?
Can you imagine the pain of an airplane propeller slicing off your hand?
Can you imagine working in the fashion industry where looks are everything only to have yours altered for the rest of your life?
In Still Lolo, Lauren Scruggs, along with the rest of her family, talk about that horrific day one year ago today in the Dallas suburb of McKinney, Texas that would forever change her future. I love how she goes deep in talking about the painful journey to recovery, both physically and emotionally. She also talks very candidly about her faith that was and continues to be her anchor.
I found Still Lolo to be an inspiring memoir of a young woman who faced her fears, overcame painful challenges, and discovered that true beauty is something that comes from deep within. I would highly recommend this book. For those that like memoirs and for those that find themselves struggling with obstacles in their life, this is both an encouraging and inspiring read.
