It’s an interesting season for us, stepping back into a role we held in the past but as different people. Combine that with a financial slump after a long sabbatical, and you’ve (I’ve) got many reasons to exercise faith.
I personally find it easy to get overwhelmed with needs, but after God speaking this one word to me, I feel like my prayers have a new edge of faith with them. I love how Matthew 17:20 says we only need to have faith of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is small!
So every day, as I’m standing at the sink washing my dishes, I’m praying and believing in faith that God is going to move in big and small ways. Every morning, when Jeremy and I steal away some quiet minutes before the kids wake up to drink coffee and pray, I’m grabbing that mustard seed as I believe in faith. I’m looking forward to 2014 and seeing how God stretches my faith.
Do you have a one word for 2013?

March 7, 2013 at 3:13 amMine is the same as last year: abide. I can certainly relate to your stepping out in faith, and it's beautiful to look back & see how much my faith grew as a result of it. Praying that you'll grow by leaps and bounds this year!
