To celebrate National Honesty Day here on I Believe In Love, I’ve got a couple of giveaways! If you’ve gone through a lying phase with your kids, then you know how hard it can be. When I was going through it with my son, I was looking for advice and tips anywhere I could find them. Well, I’ve got some great Tommy Nelson DVD’s up for giveaway that teach the importance of telling the truth. First up today is from Hermie & Friends. I Will Tell The Truth and Be Careful What I Say may be geared for ages 4-7 but it’s message is universal…tell the truth and say sorry when needed.
I sat three kids (well above intended age range) down to watch this DVD. They all agree that it was a good video to teach the importance of lying. Their two takeaways were 1. don’t tell lies because people can’t trust you if you do, and 2. if you hurt someone, say you’re sorry. Great takeaways, I would say.

April 30, 2013 at 12:25 amWe are just now getting to the stage of dealing with BOTH honesty and the tongue, but so far I think watching his words might be my son's weakness.

April 30, 2013 at 1:17 amI didn't know there was a day for honesty! Cool! I've been playing catchup today & have enjoyed the pictures from Earth Day and the ones of your kiddos. I just didn't have time to comment on all of them! 🙂
