summer, warby parker, and ocean avenue

What comes to mind when you think of Summer? All-day, non-stop play with friends? Picnics in the park? Barbecues at dusk?

lazy days of summer

I think of time at grandma’s, catching fireflies, mud pies, the ice cream man, and something cold and wet. This Texas girl knows that all too well. There’s nothing like a little refreshment in the too-hot-to-do-anything-else days of Summer.

Orange fizz.

Cream soda.

Ginger lemonade.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Refreshment.

How about a little refreshment for your face to celebrate the beginning of Summer? Don’t know where to look, you might say? I’ve got you covered. It will even add to your coolness factor. Introducing…

A New Collection by Warby Parker

Inspired by daydreaming Summer adventures of searing brain freezes, sky-high cut-offs, and the open-window sensation of peeling out of a hot car seat, a new selection of eyewear was born.

“Each of the 8 optical frames and 14 sunglasses are custom acetate and all throw-’em-on-and-go, with new hues like Sea Glass Blue, Driftwood, Orange Fizz, and Chocolate Soda.”

These are a sampling of my favs from the new Ocean Avenue Collection. Which one do you think would look good on my face? To see the complete collection of Ocean Avenue eyeglasses and sunglasses as well as their other collections, visit them on the web. Their Ocean Avenue collection launches today, June 4th!

I’ve written about Warby Parker a few times on this blog, so you know how much I love their designer frames and the social good they are doing in the world. To catch you up to speed, Warby Parker’s eyewear starts at just $95. Yes, you read that right. $95. For every pair you buy, a pair is given to someone in need. I love knowing that my Zagg’s not only help me see but help someone else in the world see, too.

Warby Parker’s eyewear is a great price, totally cool, and committed to helping people in need. I’ve said that, haven’t I? Even with all that, they don’t skip out on quality. I’ve had my eyeglasses for a year and a half and they’ve been great. I love that all prescription lenses come with anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings and are UV protective. I also love they all their lenses are polycarbonate making them lighter and thinner. If you’re worried about buying glasses online without trying them on, don’t be. Warby Parker offers a home try-on program. You can select up to 5 different frames and keep them for 5 days before shipping them back with the packing slip included. Easy!

Fun images of summer! It looks like my sweet boy is in need of glasses, so I'll need to buy some after his appointment. This sounds like a great place to buy them!
