Happy Wednesday, y’all. I’m still here. Quiet in these parts, but here, nonetheless. We left mid-week last week for Pretoria to prepare for our staff arriving the next day. We had a 2 day staff retreat in S. Africa’s capital, and it was awesome. Our goal was to encourage and bless our staff, and I believe that goal was accomplished. We even shared a hotel with some of Obama’s secret service. As we left the hotel on Sunday, Air Force One took off from a landing strip right by the hotel. I’ve never seen Air Force One that close!
We returned to a crazy Monday. Making our own bricks to build homes with, the sounds of loud drilling to find water, and a camp of 80 excited kids crafting wire art and learning about Jesus. It’s not a typical Monday, but it’s a good Monday. That leads me to 8:37 on a Tuesday evening trying to compose something meaningful to say to you all when this publishes Wednesday morning. Truth is, these days, my posts are sparse, not because I don’t have anything to say but because my days are so full that time to sit and write just isn’t there. It’s in these times, though, that Jeremy and I look at each other and say, “It’s happening. These dreams really are happening.”
Starting a brick farm to make our own bricks for HOMES?
Drilling for water, something we’ve talked about for years? No more dirty canal water, here comes fresh well water.
Seeing young people changed by the power of Jesus?
It’s happening, and some days I can’t believe the depth and growth that seems to be happening so fast around these parts.
It’s a privilege to be a part of. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us…
