Welcome to In The Studio, a place to show off your studio and meet some great artists! I’m so glad it’s Friday. I feel like the weekend is the chance I get to do my creative projects, take a break from email, and just chill. We all need that every once in a while.
Projects around here have been a plenty. Right now we have so many projects started, and I can’t wait until they’re all finished. My scullery looks the same as it did week 2. We’re waiting on the electrician to come and do some electrical work before proceeding. Honestly, the waiting drives me crazy. I would do it myself if I had the know how, but unfortunately I do not. Our bedroom is so, so close. Soon we’ll do the floor and ceiling all in one go around. After that, it’s replacing (or painting…not sure which) the door and putting up new curtain rods. I’m happy with the artwork on the walls which is what I want to reveal for today’s In The Studio!
I love maps, so when Maps.Com offered me this USA map for review a while back, I was super excited. We had it framed at Mo’s Studio in Nelspruit (highly recommended if you live in the area). I love the dark wood frame.
Moving right along…I love these 2 pieces that my sis-in-law gave me for my birthday last year. We had them framed at the same place. I love the orange since I’m using it as an accent color in my room!
I love some of the shots I took of the kids for my Warby Parker photo shoot. I had these printed and framed and now my cuties hang above my bed.
How do you like this half finished painting? It’s one my talented sis-in-law started but never finished. I decided to layer some frames to make it stand out a bit more. I love the look.
Last but not least, my favorite corner…an old window, a cool stove, a lamp with my accent color, and a shelf of glass bottles and a reminder to dream. All this randomness creates such an inviting corner to sit and just breathe.
The next photos you see of my room will reveal new floors and a ceiling with a little before and after action! Happy weekend, friends! Oh, and I have a giveaway ending tonight for a Nature Bible from Tommy Nelson. Be sure to enter!
Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!
