Welcome to In The Studio, a place to show off your studio and meet some great artists! Is it already August? I feel like these past few months have flown by. I don’t really mind that August is here, because that means my birthday is right around the corner, and I do love birthdays.
On to the topic of this blog post…what’s been in my studio. It’s quite exciting actually. Several of you have emailed or commented asking about being able to buy products made by our Village Store artists. Thank you SO MUCH for your support and desire to bring HOPE by purchasing these handmade items!
I recently did a photo shoot so that I would have handy dandy photos to put on our store website. Aren’t the purses beautiful? Thank you so much, ladies, for your modeling loveliness however, I think the little one takes the cake on cuteness.
Unfortunately he doesn’t come with the bibs, but he sure makes them look good, doesn’t he? After getting permission from his parents, I asked him, “Is it okay if we do a photo shoot?” He said, “Yeah, it’s okay. Shoot me!” (FYI…all the kids here in S. Africa refer to photo taking as shooting.)
Currently we have purses, bibs, keychains, and our Ten Thousand Homes t-shirts available in our online store. In a couple of weeks, we’ll have Christmas ornaments! I can’t wait to show you. They are fantastic! Gloria and Kenneth are our current artists whose work is featured in the store. Your purchase helps support them as well as the work Ten Thousand Homes does with orphaned and vulnerable children.
Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!
