You know what else makes the soul feel light and happy? Flowers blooming with COLOR. We are moving into Spring here in S. Africa and it’s evidenced by the blooming gardens. I love it. A few weeks ago we had a work day on our campus. I was in charge of gardens. I don’t profess to be good at gardening (by gardening I mean flower beds), but I do enjoy it.
After a full day of planting, the gardens still looked bare. But now, 3 weeks later, I see blooms of COLOR. It’s fantastic. I walk by just so I can see the beautiful petals. It makes me smile. I like my studio being the garden.
Do you enjoy gardening? What’s blooming in your neck of the woods?
Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!

September 6, 2013 at 10:57 amYay!! I have some tiny little native plants blooming, but some have died, so I need to fill in some bare spots. LOVE that second photo.

September 7, 2013 at 2:38 amBeautiful! I have a love/hate thing with gardening. I love growing things and pretty flowers, but I hate weeding and working outside in the hot sun. I used to have a green thumb, but now that I have kids I can't seem to remember to take care of them AND my plants. You could probably guess which end up being neglected. ๐

September 7, 2013 at 12:00 pmYour garden is gorgeous! We have some sunflowers coming through right now but alas elsewhere is all weeds. I think we're going to have to get tough on the garden over the winter months with full on weedkiller to kill back everything then start again next year.
Thanks for hosting ๐
