Our friends from Texas that have been here the past two weeks built us more picnic tables. It was the perfect addition to our Garden Party theme. We strung lights from the trees and wrapped them in bougainvillea. Ah, it was lovely and simple. Those same awesome friends from Texas brought a little Tex Mex with them and cooked up fajitas, rice, and beans with bread pudding and pie for dessert. Serious yum going on.
The more I do these special events, the more I love them. Every detail of the planning is so important to me, and I love dreaming up ideas for the decorating and food and everything else that comes with it. All of the work is worth it when I see our awesome staff laughing, smiling, and having a good time. It’s not always easy doing the work we do here in S. Africa. Coming away to do nothing else other than laugh and have a good time is such a healing salve for your soul. That’s why I love it and why I put so much thought into creating an atmosphere that is going to bring life and FUN.
Enough of my rambling thoughts. I can’t wait to see what you guys have been up to this week! I’m still visiting all the awesomeness from last week. Don’t forget to visit everyone’s link up so we can all encourage each other!
Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!
