Well, today I entered my thirties! I have to say my husband did an awesome job making my day special. This morning I was pampered by a new do and some highlights. There’s nothing like a fresh cut, tea, and a head massage on S. African prices!

After the pampering we were off to Elmswood to buy a kitchen table and chairs (this was about the only thing we didn’t put on that container!) The best part is that they delivered it for us (for only $7 extra) the same day!
After the big purchase another surprise awaited me. Lunch with all the ladies at Courtyard Café! It was such a lovely day and sitting under the big tree outside made it perfect. Thank you, ladies, for celebrating with me!
Next I was picked up by Jeremy for a little date, just the two of us. The original plan of watching a movie backfired because the projector broke (this is Africa after all!) but instead we went to the mall and had a coffee and walked around. It was great to just be together!
After the mall we returned home and Jeremy fixed a lovely meal of roast, mashed potatoes, green beans, and salad. The best part about it was eating on our brand new table with our friends, Michael and Lindsey. (Don’t worry…the rest of the chairs are coming in about 3 weeks.)

My 30th birthday was definitely special. Thanks for all the emails and messages from my friends far away. You guys also made today extra special for me!
