After making butterflies with my kids, we decided to do that as one of our craft projects with the kids in Mbonisweni a few weeks ago. I’m always amazed at how ALL ages from 2 to 20 participate in the crafts. It just shows me that art really can be a form of therapy because everyone wants to do it. We had the largest group of kids come out with around 80 showing up, so some of my groups were huge. It was still a blast. While the “wings” were drying, I told them how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Then they went to the next station to hear the creation story. Here’s some photos of the day:
