Finally Finished!

I started Emma Grace’s first scrapbook a year ago and just finished it the other day! (Well, ladies that should give you some encouragement if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with your piles of pictures waiting for some creative imagination!) I did, however, start and complete 4 other albums in the past year of various trips, so that makes me feel a little better. Here’s some of my favorite pages from her album and some tips and reviews.

Chipboard letters are awesome! I like to paint them and then write the title or special things to remember on them. Like on this page, I used it to write “first kick” and then used a tag to write the date.

I’m very particular about stickers. I only use them if they seem perfect for the page and if the color scheme fits.

I love using 2 different papers on a page. It really adds to it! I usually put a ribbon to break up the 2 papers.

I also love creating titles out of different letters. It really adds to the page and makes an otherwise simple page pop!

My mom gave me a Sizzix die cut machine a couple of years ago. I love it! I usually use it to make tags or letters. I use the Cuttlebug letter sets by Provo Craft (which you can easily find on ebay). They are cheaper and work just as well with the Sizzix machine. I’ve also found the Xyron 150 sticker maker helpful for tacking on these small letters.

It might be obvious but I have a love, or should I say, obessession for ribbon. I especially love ric rac in any color I can get my hands on!

Whenever I scrapbook, Emma Grace also likes to do her “scrapbooking.” Here’s her creation when I was finishing up her album.
