What a lovely scripture of rest! My goal this weekend was simply to rest. No agenda, no over ambitious plans of cooking next week’s meals to freeze, but just to rest. Bubble baths, sleep, reading, time with the kids and the best husband in the world, lots of quiet and rest made up my weekend. In our line of work, it’s hard sometimes to rest. There’s orphans to care for, DTS’ers to be discipled, short-termers to tend to and yet…and yet God calls us to come away and rest. Sometimes He has to MAKE us lie down in green pastures, but in order to sustain, I must make time for rest.
I did also start one knitting project. It’s a fun one but I won’t reveal what I’m making until it’s finished! Is the suspense killing you!?
