Birthday Crafting :: Round Two

Round two of birthday crafting is officially over. Three different birthday people with three different parties. It’s been busy! Brittany was the first up. Since I had already made her a hat, I had to come up with something else. What does every hat need? A scarf! This soft, beautiful yarn made me want to keep it for myself! I just did a simple garter stitch, knitting every row on size 13 needles until it was the length I wanted.

Michael was next on the birthday list. I chose the The Boy Hat. Since my adult model wasn’t available for photo taking before the party, my favorite boy helped me out! The interesting shaping pattern as you decrease is what caught my eye on this pattern.

We celebrated a very special birthday on Saturday. Sandile’s first! Sandile and her mom, Eunice, just finished our discipleship school. Eunice, who is Elizabeth’s daughter, lives just down the road in Kabokweni. So we all loaded up to wish the beautiful girl a very happy birthday!

I went back to a previously used pattern for this one and made Sandile a kitty!
