So…today is my birthday! I’ve had so much fun reading all your comments for my giveaway! And reading your best birthday moments! I thought I would share my most memorable birthday moment with you!
my kitchen during 4 months of renovations…
My 27th birthday was awesome! I felt like I got to celebrate it the whole week with friends doing special things for me. I like to be surprised but I feel like no matter how hard I try, I find things out. But this birthday proved to be such a surprise! I was 8 months pregnant and we were living in our house in Connecticut with a kitchen still under construction. I told Jeremy all I wanted for my birthday was my kitchen finished! I couldn’t bear the thought of having a newborn with a work zone still going on in my house. Sure enough, on my birthday, my kitchen was finished! I was so excited!

Jeremy arranged a babysitter so we could go out to eat to celebrate my birthday. We left, stopping by Home Depot (when you’re re-modeling a house, Home Depot frequently becomes a date stopping point). Jeremy conveniently left his wallet at home, meaning we had to go back to get it. I didn’t think anything of it, but when we turned the corner, our backyard was full of people! SURPRISE!

When you live in a community of people you work with, hang out with, and see constantly, it’s hard to keep a secret, but Jeremy did it. He managed to invite everyone, buy the food, and plan my day without me knowing! Not only did I get my kitchen, but I got a wonderful night with all my friends!
