I knit one of these for Jeremy for his birthday. Don’t worry. I gave him something else, too. But you know, we both hate cold coffee (unless of course you are going for iced coffee). So I pulled out some wool leftover from this project, and it was just enough to make one! My french press is a pretty standard size so I think it should fit most presses.
Materials
2 buttons
Moda Dea Tweedle Dee Wool
US size #9 straight needles
CO 20 sts.
Knit 3 rows
Starting with a knit row, stockinette stitch for 11 3/4 in.*, ending with a knit row.
Last 3 rows:
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit 5 sts, YO, K2tog, k 7 sts, YO, K2tog, k 4 sts.
Row 3: Knit
BO
*My french press measures 12 1/4 in. around so I knit a half inch less than the width.
Finishing
Sew buttons onto edging opposite button holes. Fasten to your french press!
