The Voice of Psalms

I love the book of Psalms which is why it took me several months to read The Voice of Psalms.  I wanted to really read and savor every word.  This translation, simply called The Voice, comes from a collaboration of artists, musicians, writers, scholars, pastors, poets, and more.  I found it to be beautifully translated and found several nuggets of scripture that captured my heart and caught my eye in ways they hadn’t before.  Just listen to the sweetness of Psalm 116:1, 2…

I love the eye appeal of the book as well as the durability of the pages.  I did find the arrangement of the chapter to its corresponding devotion a little confusing at times.  Although I did not read through them, I like that it has reading plans for Advent and Lent as well as worship and seeking help from God. 

One thing I like about having several different translations of the Bible is that I feel that it helps paint a fuller picture of the scriptures.  The Voice of Psalms would definitely be a great addition to your Bible library.
