dreams into reality…india

If you’ve been following along on this blog the past several months, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of how dreaming has impacted my life recently.  I even felt DREAM was the word for 2011.  Now I know that part of the beauty of dreaming is that you don’t have to make them happen.  There shouldn’t be any pressure, because that could actually hinder you in the dreaming process.

However, as a practical thinking person, it’s hard for me to see my dreams on paper and not do anything to try and make them happen.  I know that some are not for the here and now but some I feel like I want to pursue.  And more importantly, I feel like God is nudging me to pursue.

be a much sought after photographer traveling the world telling stories through photos

That was the last dream I wrote down on my list.  As my love for photography has grown over the years so has my desire to do it more.  I love how photography can be used to tell stories, and one of my dreams is to travel around the world and tell the stories of what God’s doing.  Well, that dream is slowly turning into reality as I’m preparing to go to India in March!

Some of you might have received my email letter this past week (if not, but you would like to receive our ministry updates, subscribe here).  Patty Bauman, director of Hope’s Gate and a personal friend of 15 years, has asked me to go with her to India in March in order to take photos of their jewelry project that has just started.  I can’t tell you how excited I am to be able to do this and tell this story through photos!

Right now I am busy fundraising and checking out my camera gear to make sure everything will be ready for travel to India! If you would like to read more about my India trip and even how you can be a part of it, visit the India tab at the top of my page.  Thanks for being a part of this journey with me as I see dreams turned into reality!
