With a team going to South Africa, it was a perfect opportunity to knit a little something for my nieces! I just can’t resist those pointy elf hats from More Last-Minute Knitted Gifts. They are stinking adorable. I had the right yarn in my stash to make three different colored ones. Aren’t they awesomeness?? Even if it’s too warm to wear them now, I’d say they are perfect for dress up!
My youngest niece, whom I still haven’t met, will be turning one next month. I wanted to make her a sweet little sweater. I had my eye on a different one (and many of you indicated you liked it, too), but it just wasn’t going to work for so many reasons. I decided to go with the Fantasy Naturale Cardigan. It was a very quick knit. I love the terra cotta color and the wooden buttons. I saw in the comments that many people said it came out big. However, I was hesitant to go the next size down (6 months). I would rather it be too big with growing room than too small!
I haven’t had anything on my needles for almost two weeks! That’s rare for me but sometimes that’s just the way it is. I’ve had a request for something, so we’ll see if time permits it’s completion before I leave!
