a reunion

Last Friday was a good day.  No, it was a great day.  After a year and a half, my kids got to see their cousins again when they flew in from Africa.  I was in the company of someone who was a little anxious (hi, Karen!) so we arrived in plenty of time.  To pass that hour of waiting, we started counting the number of people who walked through the international arrival doors.  I think the number was somewhere in the 200 range before we spotted them!

This little reunion was special in two ways.  Our family was able to meet the newest Price, Charlotte Ann, for the first time!  She’s already a year old, so it was killing us that we hadn’t met her.  It was also special, because it was the first time we were all together since the three youngest cousins came along!

To celebrate this reunion, the kids Hannah (that’s their grandmother) bought all the girls matching outfits and our boy a new shirt and jeans.  I have a hard enough time getting my 2 kids to look at the camera and smile so imagine 5 kids who haven’t seen each other in a year and a half!  I’m thinking we’ll either try take 2 in a few weeks or make a collage out of the individual photos!

We had a great time together in the one day we saw them and hated to say goodbye until the beginning of next month.  But we look forward to the sweet time we will have together then!
