However, I didn’t forget. In fact, I tried to be strategic. For birthdays during the year, I sewed reusable gift wrap and added touches of Christmas colors so it would work for the holidays. It paid off. From the little bit that I did sew last year and the wrapping that I made from birthdays, I found that there wasn’t much sewing I needed to do in order to go totally reusable.
It makes my heart happy knowing I haven’t used money on something that will be ripped and thrown in the trash. I haven’t had to buy supplies either. I’ve had enough random scraps in my stash. I love the different look of all the packaging together!
As I started wrapping gifts this year, I realized that I always write the recipient’s name on a piece of paper. Hmmm, that wouldn’t do, so I sewed some gift tags. I had never sewn words and thought it would be so hard. It wasn’t! I added some no fray to the edges and now I have some reusable gift tags, too! Totally love it.
Do you use reusable gift wrap? Have you ever thought of using it? Tune in Monday. I’m giving away a whole sampling of reusable gift wrap!
