24 hours alone

It’s not often that I have a night alone in my own home, but Friday night found me in such a state. Jeremy and the kids went to a dad and kids camp. I contemplated having someone stay with me because of my crazy fears surrounding being alone, but then I felt like a night to myself would be good. It was good indeed. This is what occupied my time. Warning…this photo series might be a bit on the boring side.

Dinner had to be simple. Fried eggs on toast smeared with avocados from the avocado tree on our property. Yum.

I have not knit a single item in 9 months. I can’t believe it’s been that long. I put on a movie and decided on something that would be fast so I could feel a sense of accomplishment. I did finish it, but I’ll post that later in the week. 🙂

I’ve also got another project in the works. A big one. I’ll reveal it soon enough, but I’ll give a hint. It has involved coming up with some creative displays, including using a ladder. I got the ladder cleaned up this weekend. It’s ready for the next step.

Well, that’s how this mama spent 24 hours alone. Documenting it here sounds boring, but it felt anything but boring in the moment.

Question…when you’re all alone in your home, do you talk to yourself or stay silent?

Sounds like a great day! I'm intrigued by both your works in progress, and I wish I could eat avocados fresh off the tree!

So when I am alone for a LONG period of time, yes I start talking to myself. I know I would go crazy if I were ever to end up in solitary confinement, probably end up with multiple personalities

Ohhhhh, I keep thinking about planting an avocado tree… Is it true that they only yield fruit every other year?

When I'm alone in my house I sing out loud, and I pray out loud, but I don't talk to myself.

Good on you Jen, you handled your fears and look what you accomplished too. Can't wait to see what's up with that ladder 🙂
