training for survivor

Nothing beats weekend boredom like a little pretend play using the imagination. Somehow we ended up with Season 2 of Survivor at our house. Not only has it provided some family entertainment but an inspirational afternoon of figuring out how to make a stretcher from 3 pieces of wood and some rope. The kids tried at first and didn’t succeed, but my boy, who can’t rest until he figures something out (just.like.me), kept at it and figured it out! Perhaps we have some future contestants!

Three cheers for pretend play and for Emma Grace who is always willing to be the guinea pig. 🙂

This is so great! The things my kids come up with to build/pretend (almost) always delight me. 🙂
