creativity in the studio

in the studio :: studiojru week

Welcome to In The Studio, a place to show off your studio and meet some great artists! Today we have Studio JRU with us to show off some custom orders she’s been working on! Without further ado…

so… in my studio, i have been working on custom orders the past few weeks. i enjoy working with people on custom orders, it is always interesting! 🙂
these blocks are to be part of a booth for a breast cancer event…

and this piece was for a special birthday gift from my customer to her friend. what a sweet friend, right?! she wanted to use some kind of silhouette and i thought a simple praying silhouette would be beautiful. it was really fun to do the background on this one. lots of layers. lot of paint. lots of texture. loved working on it!

i am really looking forward to visiting your ‘studios’ and seeing what kinds of wonderful, creative things you have all been up to!

and if you have creative friends… please share this link up with them so we can build a fun and encouraging community here. thank you!

Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!
