Welcome to In The Studio, a place to show off your studio and meet some great artists! Wow, what a week! Our discipleship school came back from Uganda filled with awesome stories of how God worked in their lives and used them to love others. We’ve had three short-term teams with us this week building a HOME, loving on kids, handing out plates of food, and painting walls. We’ve had a very special guest staying in our home this week, a friend who Jeremy and I co-lead a team with on our very first journey to Africa in 2000. My days have been filled with classroom time with our school, hosting people for tea time and evening dessert, and being in awe of testimonies that indicate dreams from long ago are unfolding right before our very eyes. It’s such a sweet, sweet time.
I’ve been in the moment of it all which has left very little time for creativity this week. On Tuesday, I laid my heart on the table and shared how this homeschooling thing is just not right for our family this season. So many people have shared such encouraging words that it has really lifted my soul. Thank you!
I picked up my camera twice this week. One was to capture the HOME building going on, the second was to capture my cuties on their first day of school. Joshua is not too happy about the length of his shorts. I told him at least his upper thigh will get a bit of a tan. He wasn’t amused. I am on the hunt for longer navy blue shorts, but when time is of the essence, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Emma Grace was NOT impressed with my early morning picture taking skills, so I had to get the peanut gallery to come behind me and make her smile. It helped. Doesn’t she look cute in her little uniform? She claimed the paparazzi were in full force on Wednesday. I think she liked the attention. 🙂
Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!
