in the studio :: nothing

Welcome to In The Studio, a place to show off your studio and meet some great artists! Friday is the highlight of my week. I get to post creative somethings AND see all the wonderful things you guys have been up to. It’s super awesome.

Except today I got nothing.

I know it’s a story you’ve probably heard me say before, but this time is for reals. Every time we come to the states, the last week is the busiest no matter how hard we try to plan. Not only are we saying our last see ya later’s and eating every meal we can with people we are going to miss terribly, but we’ve also managed to clear out a storage unit and sell off lots of stuff we don’t need anymore. My son thinks I’m totally weird when I exclaim my excitement over purging. It’s just so freeing. Know what I mean?

Sunday is the day that we board the metal can destined for England for a couple of weeks with some Brits we like to call friends. I’m hoping I don’t arrive back in S. Africa totally exhausted. At this point, I feel like sleeping for a couple of weeks!

This is what happens when candy is sour beyond what you can handle. @wawaprice

Girl date with this one.

How do you like these photos of my cuties taken this past week? Joshua ate some serious sour candy, and apparently this is the face he makes when it’s sour beyond sour. Awesomeness, isn’t it? And my Emma G, well, she’s just always as cute as can be.

I look forward to visiting your studios this week. With 2 1/2 more weeks of travel, I can’t promise copious amounts of creativity showing up in this space. I’m human, and sometimes I can’t keep up. I know you’ll forgive me. Life will be back in order soon. Maybe?

Now it’s your turn! Remember your “studio” can be anywhere. Let’s celebrate each other’s creativity by linking up and visiting as many as the other studios as you can. Check out the about post for more info and don’t forget to grab the In The Studio button!

    You captured their respective emotions beautifully in both photographs. Enjoy your last week in the US, as well as the feeling of purging yourself of "stuff." Blessings!
